BEMIDJI -- GOP candidate for governor Jeff Johnson and fellow Republican Torrey Westrom, running for the U.S. Congress, are both confirmed to speak at a Bemidji banquet in September.

Johnson and 7th Congressional District candidate Westrom will attend the annual Bemidji Republican Banquet on Sept. 18 at the American Legion, the Beltrami County Republicans announced Tuesday.

Other confirmed candidates include Michelle Macdonald, running for the Minnesota Supreme Court; Dave Hancock, running for the Minnesota House of Representatives; and Randy Gilbert, running for Minnesota Auditor.

Invitations have been sent to Stewart Mills, candidate for Minnesota's Eighth U.S. Congressional District, and Mike McFadden, candidate for U.S. Senate.

The social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by a dinner and program at 6:30.

Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. They can be purchased online at http://www.jotform.us/form/42113625060138 or at the Bemidji GOP Victory Office, scheduled to open Sept. 2 at the intersection of 15th Street and Bemidji Avenue.
