Jim Rogen

Jim Rogen of Walker, MN, born in Minot, North Dakota on December 24, 1952, died suddenly on March 2, 2013 in Galena, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Evelyn Rogen. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Ann Noland, and sons Alex Rogen and Joel Mensch also of Walker, MN.

Jim and Ann were business partners in Shingobee Island Lodge, Summit House, Stille Havn Hus, Kaffe Havn, and May Creek Lodge and Cottages in Walker. Jim cast a wide net and will be missed and mourned by family, friends, residents, neighbors, and employees. Jim was known for his common touch, humor, and kindness. He loved food, naps, boats, traveling, early mornings, meditation, stoking the hot tub, and dinging around on his projects.

He is also survived by his siblings: Kris (Grant) Oppegaard, Paul (Linda) Rogen, and Lois (Randy) Perkins.

A farewell will take place at the Blue Water Lodge on Saturday, March 9th beginning at 6 pm with a service at 7:00. Come when you’re able. Details on the Dennis Funeral Home website.
