Jessie Panzer, 98, of Bemidji, MN died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Neilson Place, Bemidji after a long and healthy life.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Malvik Lutheran Church, Guthrie with Pastor David Smith officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Guthrie Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji.
Jessie Wilma Francis was born May 31, 1915 in St. James, MN to Will and Elsie (Lamb) Francis. She attended school at District 25 and later high school in St. James. On February 14, 1937 she married Albert F. Panzer and they lived in the St. James area until November 1952 when they moved to Guthrie. She lived in Guthrie until 1990 when she moved to Bemidji. She was the mother of three children, Dennis, Judy and Gary. She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church of Guthrie and later Malvik Lutheran Church. She was a member of the ladies aid at St. Pauls Lutheran Church and the Guthrie Homemakers Club. She worked as an assessor in the Guthrie area for 19 years. She loved to knit, frequently played cards in various card groups, push her favorite slot machine button and most importantly spend time with her family. Jessies two grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren were very special to her and she loved spending time with them.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Gary of Bemidji, MN; grandsons, Steven (Renea) Panzer of Merrill, IA and Scott Panzer of Bemidji; four great-grandchildren, Kyle, Timothy, Dominic and Jacqui of Merrill, IA; sister, Marion (Ray) Martinson of Hudson, WI and many other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; son, Dennis; daughter, Judy and daughter-in-law Jan.
