Jerry Lee Stomberg

Jerry Lee Stomberg, age 48, died on August 31, 2013, in Grand Junction, Colo.

He was born to Jim and Karen (Nelson) Stomberg on June 21, 1965, in Frankfurt, Germany. From the beginning he was in a hurry, ready to take the world on one adventure at a time. A thrill seeker and self-proclaimed pirate, Jerry took the world on with a free spirit and zest for life that could make anyone jealous. Jerry was a professional when it came to convincing people to do things they might not otherwise do. He could sell anything to someone who didn't know that they needed it.

Jerry was an intelligent jack-of-all-trades, always learning new things and always willing to help however he could, if he didn't know someone who could do it, he would know someone sooner or later who would know. He never forgot anyone he met; he could network better than anyone with a Facebook and Twitter page.

He never seemed to settle on one specific job specialty, however, his talents and creativity were evident in his artwork with his copper roses and his writing. He wrote poetry and even tried his hand at writing a novel or two. He had a passion for knowledge, history, four wheeling, camping, fishing, his children, and grandchildren.

One thing in his life was certain: his pride and joy and greatest accomplishments in life were his children, Tyler and Jennifer, and his two grandchildren.

Jerry lived his life his own way from the beginning to the end. He truly loved and enjoyed every moment of his life and lived with no regrets.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Karen Stomberg, of Cohasset, MN; his son, Tyler Stomberg, of Shreveport, LA; his daughter, Jennifer Stomberg, of Molina, CO; his brother, Ryan Stomberg of Blackduck, MN; his sisters, Stacey (Andrew) Madsen of Anoka, MN, Nicole Stomberg, of Farmington, MN, and Danielle Stomberg of Fort Collins, CO; and his two grandchildren, Violet Love Stomberg and Conner Lee Stomberg. He was preceded in death by his father James Lee Stomberg in 2007.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Jennifer Stomberg, c/o Wells Fargo, 2808 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501, (970) 242-8822.
