Jennie Christine Lepley
Jennie Christine Lepley, 87, of Bemidji, Minnesota died on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Neilson Place in Bemidji, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bagley, Minnesota with Pastor Wolfgang Teklenburg officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service also at Cease Family Funeral Home. Interment will be at Shevlin Village Cemetery in Shevlin, Minnesota. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted with the arrangements.
Jennie was born August 13, 1925 in Carrington, ND the daughter of Peter and Sophie (Zuling) Wobbema.
She grew up on the family farm with her 13 siblings. Jennie moved to Shevlin in 1956 and purchased the Bar known as Jennies Bar.
Jennie married Herman Lepley on November 8, 1961. After selling the bar and semi retired Jennie worked at Hansons Greenhouse. Jennie was the caregiver for her husband as he failed.
Jennies last year and a half was spent at Nielson Place where the Angels of Elderberry became her constant companions and took exceptional care and loved her till the end. Jennie was so loved as Granny. She loved to cook, bake and care for her family. Doughnuts, pickles and soups were among her specialties. Gardening and quilting were also activities that Jennie enjoyed.
She is survived by her 2 daughters Jan Parsons of Bemidji, MN and Delores (Cleo) Christopherson of Bemidji, MN; 2 Sons Keith (Linda) Barcus of Bemidji, MN and Kent (Connie) Barcus of Shevlin, MN; Brother Harold (Jeanette) Wobbema of Minot, ND; Sister Mildred Lies of New Rockford, ND; Sister-in-law Peggy Wobbema of Carrington, ND; Special friend Wolfgang Teklenburg; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2009 and 12 brothers and sisters.
