Jeanine C. McArthur, 75, of Brooklyn Park, Minn., died Wednesday, September 24, 2008.
Jeanine Claire Weiderholt was born to Ben and Lillie Weiderholt on Oct. 28, 1932 in Aitkin, Minn. She graduated from Aitkin Senior High School in 1950 and began working at the Rural Electric Association and Zilverberg's Photography Studio. Also in 1950, she was crowned "Miss Aitkin" and later that year, represented Aitkin County at the St. Paul Winter Carnival.
On June 13, 1953, Jeanine married Ray McArthur, and together they raised four children. In 1957, they moved to Brooklyn Park, where they became members of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church; Jeanine sang in the church choir.
In 1981, Jeanine became a member of Crystal Evangelical Free Church, now called New Hope Church. In 1998, Ray and Jeanine moved to Realife Cooperative of Brooklyn Park, where she became the (ultimate) activities director.
Jeanine is survived by Ray, her husband of 55 years; her children Greg (Kathy) McArthur of Maple Grove, Minn., Mike (Myra) McArthur of Peyton, Colo., Kim (Denny) King of Owatonna, Minn., and Jeff (Natalie) McArthur of Peyton, Colo.; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild; along with her brothers, Jerome, Kermit and Chuck and sisters, Karen, Jackie and Janice. Her parents, Ben and Lillie ("Grandma Peaches") Weiderholt preceded her in death.
Memorials are preferred sent to New Hope Church and Realife Cooperative of Brooklyn Park Memorial Fund.
