Jean Gott, 63, of Wadsworth, Ohio, entered life eternal with Christ on March 29, 2007, from complications after surgery and a 30 year struggle with lupus.

Her funeral was held April 7 at the Wadsworth Alliance Church with Pastors Scott Brooks and Tim Steiner officiating.

Jean was born February 27, 1944, the eleventh child of Miles and Millicent (Owen) Evans of Hines, MN. She attended Hines Elementary School, graduated from Blackduck High School and received her BS degree from Mankato State U and her MS at Kent State U.

She was married to David Gott in 1967. They lived in Ohio, where she taught Home Economics. After becoming a homemaker and mother, she taught Family Life courses at Wayne College. She was an active member of the Wadsworth Alliance Church, where she taught Sunday School and led Bible study and prayer groups, as well as grief and divorce recovery groups. She was a member and officer of the Akron Area Lupus Foundation. She always wanted to use her talents to help others and to serve the Lord. She had a lifelong love of nature, especially wildflowers and birds.

Jean is survived by her caring husband, David; her children, Jeremy (Heather) and Amanda (Michael) Nagyhetenyi and grandsons, Connor and Thomas Gott of Columbus, OH; nine siblings, Eleanor Christiansen of Park Rapids, MN; Virgil Evans of Morristown, NY; Arlis (Vern) Kopperud of Alligator Point, FL; Shirline Evans of Willow Grove, PA; Glenyce (Russel) Coffin of Puposky, MN; Ronald (Betty) Evans of Havertown, PA; Victor Evans (Joyce) of Hannibal, MO; Judy (Alan) Kurschner of Duluth, MN; and Phyllis (David) Cook of Coon Rapids, MN; sisters-in-law Lillian Evans of Whiting, NJ; and Ginny Evans, Hibbing, MN; aunts Ruby Owen of Blackduck, MN; Doris Erickson and Ella Owen Keyes of Bemidji, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wendell and Neal Evans.
