Jail inmate to be considered for deportation

BEMIDJI – Bachir Francois Ghosn, 28, currently an inmate in the Beltrami County Jail, is facing possible deportation.
According to the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, investigators learned that Ghosn, who lists his address as Bemidji, is not a U.S. citizen – he is Lebanese – and is here in country on a visa.
Ghosn has been convicted of four crimes since July, including domestic assault, disorderly conduct and two violations of protection orders.
The sheriff’s office reports, in its daily crime report, that the U.S. Border Patrol was advised of Ghosn’s status, which was forwarded on to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for consideration of deportation.
