The weather this week certainly will feel less like winter and more like spring as highs are expected to reach the 60s.

Area residents got a taste of what's to come this past weekend, as temperatures reached the mid-50s with plenty of sunshine.

Sure, the rain came through Monday, along with some patchy fog, but springtime days again are predicted for the rest of the week.

The National Weather Service is expecting today to reach about 58 degrees, with winds of 10 mph. Temperatures will drop to about 40 during the night.

The forecast for the rest of the week is:

E Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60. South wind 9 to 13 mph becoming west northwest. Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34.

E Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 56. Thursday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 38.

E Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 62. Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 49.

E Saturday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 61. Saturday night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43.

E Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 58.
