Irvine Avenue plans in next phase

Irvine Avenue, from 15th Street to Paul Bunyan Drive, will be closed as of today as construction continues along the roadway. The closure is due to the second phase of Irvine reconstruction, which began in early July.

Along with the new closure, the section of Irvine Avenue between Third Street and Fifth Street has now been reopened. Access to the Bemidji Post Office has been returned to normal.

The Irvine Avenue project includes the removal and replacement of aggregate base and bituminous paving, existing water main lines and water services, sanitary and sewer main lines, and curb, gutter and sidewalks. Signal lights also will be updated.
