Iris June Desjarlait
Iris June Desjarlait, NII-ZHO-DE (being a twin) WAABISHKE (white) age 37, of Red Lake, MN entered the spirit world Friday June 14th, 2013 at Sanford Hospital Fargo, North Dakota.
She was born February 11, 1976 in Red Lake, MN daughter of Gordon Spears and Gladys Maxwell.
She graduated from Red Lake High School in 1994.
She worked at the Red Lake Enrollment and License department. She also worked at the 7 clans casinos and was a PCA for many years.
She loved being with her son, daughter & husband and was very devoted to her family. She enjoyed going to the casino, going on rides, visiting with family & friends. She married Lonny Desjarlait on July 7th, 2007.
She is survived by her husband: Lonny Desjarlait, daughter: Maria Desjarlait, son: Lonny Desjarlait JR., step daughter: Polly (Billyjack) Desjarlait, Samantha (Rod) Jackson and Nahanni Desjarlait. Sister Ida Blackcloud, brothers George Maxwell, Julius (Rene) Maxwell, Marlon (Emma) Black, Kelly Maxwell, Corey Black and ten grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Gladys Maxwell, & step father George Maxwell.
Traditional services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday June 20th, 2013 at the Red Lake Community Center. Steve Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow at the family burial grounds in Red Lake.
All night wakes will be held on Tuesday, June 18th and Wednesday, June 19th beginning at 10:00 A.M. at The Red Lake Community Center.
