International Falls sets weather record at 32 below Sunday
International Falls set a record on Sunday morning with a low temperature of 32 degrees below zero.
The National Weather Service reported that was 1 degree lower than the city’s previous record for Dec. 15 — 31 below zero, set in 1975.
Sunday morning’s low at in Bemidji was also 32 below zero, but it wasn't immediately clear if that was a record. Much of Sunday stayed in the negative range, with a high listed as 5 below zero.
A warm-up is in the forecast for today, with highs in the teens and 20s above zero under cloudy skies.
