Attorneys rest case in Rossbach trial; jury begins deliberations

ID for debris dropoff, but not voting?

Isn't it amazing? We (city government) can work out and see a need for a system to identify legitimate city residents and permit them to drop off debris from the July 2 storm at the Rako Street site.

"Those dropping of debris may be asked to present a driver's license or utility bill to prove residency." (Page 2, Aug. 10 Pioneer)

Why is it unreasonable to ask for government identification as proof of residency to vote in local and national elections? This certainly has as much weight or importance as debris dumping.
