Child, father die after kayak overturns on Hart Lake in Hubbard County

Ian Charles Napier 20, died tragically in a car crash in Chandler Az. on Dec. 14, 2012.

He was born a fraternal twin in Bemidji, MN on Feb. 7, 1992, son of Scott and Cathy Napier.

Ian’s family relocated to AZ in 1996, where both Ian and his twin brother graduated from Chandler High, class of 2010.

His plan was to further his education in the fall of 2013 at Maricopa Community College with a major in Information Technology.

Ian was the shyer, but remarkably kind and loving brother. He especially enjoyed computer gaming and the company of his cat Hercules.

Ian and David were inseparable and were rarely more that an arm length apart. They were riding to work together when their vehicle was struck by a drunk driver.

They were both employed at Target in Chandler, AZ.

Ian is survived by his extraordinarily close family, parents Scott and Cathy, sister Rachel, twin brother David, all of AZ. Close family friend Sue McLaurie of Bemidji who shared in the families excitement and joys of caring for the twins since their birth, Sharla(Troy) Bauch and family, Wanda(Jay) Cramer and family, aunts, uncles and many friends.

Ian will be missed by those that loved him so much.

Burial will be on May 11, at 9:30 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery in Park Rapids, MN with a graveside prayer.

A time for sharing of memories and luncheon with family and friends will take place at Sue McLaurie residence. 2793 Miller Rd SW, Bemidji
