Hundreds lose power east of Bemidji

BEMIDJI -- About 270 Beltrami Electric Cooperative customers were without power for two hours early Wednesday morning as crews worked to fix a faulty feeder line in subzero temperatures.

Co-op spokesperson Mitch Raile said the outage was localized around Parkers Lake Road, east of Bemidji. Beltrami Electric first received reports of an outage around 6:20 a.m. and crews working in temperatures of 20 below zero fixed the problem by about 8:30 a.m., Raile said.
