Hudson rejoins team, feeling better
SEATTLE (AP) -- Minnesota Twins second baseman Orlando Hudson rejoined the team Tuesday, two days after his entire left arm went numb following a collision with teammate Denard Span.
A CT scan on Hudson showed there was no structural damage. The two-time All-Star had his left wrist reconstructed in surgery two years ago.
Hudson got electric stimulation therapy, then was smiling and wearing a bionic-looking chip inside a bandage over the wrist. That was hours before Minnesota attempted to win its sixth consecutive game, against Seattle.
The Twins say Hudson could be back playing before the weekend.
SEATTLE (AP) -- Minnesota Twins infielder Alexi Casilla has been placed in the disabled list and may need elbow surgery.
Minnesota announced after Monday night's 5-4 win over Seattle that Casilla.
The Twins are recalling Matt Tolbert from Triple-A Rochester. Tolbert appeared in three games with the Twins earlier this season. He was optioned to Rochester on May 18.
He is hitting .256 in 39 games at Triple A.
SEATTLE (AP) -- Michael Cuddyer and Jason Kubel homered on consecutive pitches, Delmon Young hit a two-run shot and the Minnesota Twins held on to tie their season-high with their fifth consecutive victory, 5-4 over the Seattle Mariners on Monday night.
Francisco Liriano (5-3) allowed eight hits and three runs in six innings. He struck out seven to end his three-game losing streak.
