How to fight flu

Tips for staying healthy and fighting flu symptoms:

-- Cover nose and mouth with tissue when coughing or sneezing.

-- Avoid close contact with sick people.

-- Wash hands with soap and water for 15 to 20 seconds; alcohol-based hand sanitizers are effective alternative.

-- Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth; that can spread germs.

-- Stay away from school or work if ill.

-- Consult health-care provider if ill with flu-like symptoms and live in area where swine flu cases have been identified.
