Announcements – engagements, weddings, milestone anniversaries (25 years or more), milestone birthdays (70 or older), donations and similar items – are published in Sunday’s B Section. The submission deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday. Items can be sent to news@bemidjipioneer.com.

Tips for news releases
Generally, please include the 5 Ws and H:
1 – Who: the name of the organization putting on the event
2 – What: details about what will happen at the event
3 – When: Time and date
4 – Where: Place of the event (specific address)
5 – Why: Is the event being put on for a specific reason? To benefit a group, raise awareness, educational?
6 – How: Can the public get involved and is there a cost?
In addition, please include a contact name and phone number in case we have questions or need more information.
