ROCKVILLE, Minn. (AP) — A homicide suspect who was shot by a deputy in the central Minnesota town of Rockville has been transferred to a Minneapolis hospital.

Twenty-eight-year-old Marcus Michael Bradshaw, of Walker, had been in critical condition at St. Cloud Hospital on Sunday. His condition Monday at Hennepin County Medical center wasn't immediately available.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner tells the St. Cloud Times he has a deputy stationed outside Bradshaw's room at HCMC.

Authorities suspect Bradshaw shot 30-year-old Jeffrey Schultz, of Rockville, early Sunday and fled. Sanner says a deputy later shot Bradshaw three times after he refused to put down his gun.

Charges have not been filed, and the case remains under investigation.
