Don Houseman -- original art, book signing and readings
Join artist/author Don Houseman as he celebrates the publication of a new children's book which he wrote and illustrated.
The reception will be at the TIN PAN gALLErY in Blackduck Aug. 14 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
This is a self-published book through Houseman's art business, Stuff on Paper, with printing and book binding by Arrow Printing.
Houseman will be available to sign his book, and will be reading selected passages from the book at 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The original art illustrations, as well as some of his new barn paintings will be on display in the gallery during the month of August. A preview... Harvey and His Friends have gone fishin'. The animals have helped save the barn and Maynard the Farmer has finished his chores for the day. Now, the six animal characters from the first book follow the farmer down to the river for their first great fishing adventure.
Bring your cameras to have your picture taken with Harvey! The gallery is located in the Blackduck History and Art Center at Main and Margaret in downtown Blackduck or phone 835-4478. Hours are Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Thursday and Friday 1-4 p.m.
