History Center group tours Tom Lucy's car museum/garage
Tom Lucy recently invited a group of people from the Blackduck Area History and Art Center to tour his vintage automotive collection.
He has two vehicles that he takes on the road, a purple 1939 Ford Standard Coupe and a black 1938 Ford Deluxe 2-door sedan. He also has a Model T Ford that he built from an abandoned chassis, which was last used as a hay wagon -- that stays in the garage.
In addition, he has an interesting variety of vehicle-related artifacts. His artistic talents were on display with numerous illustrations depicting history and events of mostly Fords and replicas of many gas and oil company logos that are no longer seen.
The group appreciated the chance to see this private collection. They are hoping to arrange for a way to show some of the collection at the History and Art Center for a future event.
