Hirt wins Eagles bonspiel
The Max Hirt rink of Bemidji won the 22nd annual International Eagles bonspiel at the Bemidji curling club. The bonspiel attracted 15 teams from Canada and nine from the United States.

Curling with Hirt were Mike Liapis, Jim Howard and John Liapis. Placing second was the Robert VanWynsberge rink of Winnipeg.
The second event winner was Roland Fisette of Winnipeg and Steve Johnson of Bemidji was second.
Lanny Cyr of Bemidji won the third event and Julia Cummins of Winnipeg was second.
