High school volleyball: Evje leads Fosston to win

The Fosston volleyball team defeated Bagley 3-0 behind game scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 25-16 Thursday night.

Leading Fosston was Tara Evje with nine kills and 10 aces. Kayla Strom had nine digs and Kami Viken six. Alyssa Schmidt had 18 set assists.

Katie Skersick had four kills and Kari Skersick had three kills for Bagley. Emily Malterud had nine digs and Jayme Kaiser had eight digs. Andrea Hood had eight set assists for the Flyers.

The Cass Lake-Bena volleyball team lost a road contest to Pine River-Backus Thursday night.

The game scores were 25-15, 25-20, 20-15.

Autumn Brunelle led the Panthers offense with four kills. Emma Rousu had 11 digs and Stephanie Masten had 10 digs. Joy Smith had two blocks.

The Northome/Kelliher won the first game of Thursday night's match against Bigfork, but could not extend the lead and lost 3-1.

Katey Lutz led the Mustangs with 10 kills, five set assists, and six service aces.

Kristi Geerdes had 18 digs and seven kills, Caitlyn Duresky had 19 digs and five kills, and Daytona Knaeble had seven digs and two ace blocks.
