High School basketball roundup: Wind sets Cass Lake-Bena scoring record
CASS LAKE - Martin Wind scored 33 points to lead the Cass Lake-Bena boys basketball team to an 82-47 win Friday night against Blackduck.
Wind, a senior, set the Cass Lake-Bena school record for career points in the win and now stands at 1,963 points.
No individual stats were reported for Blackduck.
Cass Lake-Bena improved to 2-0 with the win and will play at Pine River-Backus on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Blackduck fell to 2-1 on the year and hosts Nevis Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

BLACKDUCK - The Pine River-Backus girls basketball team had three players in double figures scoring to defeat Blackduck Friday night.
Mollie Ann Exner led the Drakes in the loss with 32 points.
Katie Wangberg scored 23 for Pine River-Backus.

RED LAKE - The Walker-Hackensack-Akeley girls basketball team pulled away in the second half to defeat Red Lake Friday night.
Vestanna Cook had had 11 points to lead the Warriors. Kayla Kingbird added 10 points, Michelle Spears had eight points and Serena Graves had eight points.
No stats for WHA were reported.
Red Lake led the game at halftime 32-29.
