Henry "Freddie" Fredrickson

Henry "Freddie" Fredrickson, 78, of Solway, MN, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji with Pastor Jeremiah Holst officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in the Solway Cemetery.

Henry Freddie Fredrickson was born July 3, 1935 in Solway, MN to Henry and Belva (Nicholls) Fredrickson Sr. He grew up in Solway and attended Solway Elementary School and Bemidji High School. At the age of 16, he went to work for J.C. Gustafson Farms. He married Judy Moore June 28, 1954 in Bemidji and they lived in the Solway area. He later went to work in the iron mines in Keewatin. He worked delivering for Glen Larson Lumber, Armours, the pipeline where he was a certified plastic welder and Lundberg Trucking. Fred enjoyed gardening, having coffee with the gang, hunting, fishing and watching baseball games on TV.

He is survived by his sons, John (Debbie) Fredrickson of Loveland, CO and Gary (Meg) Fredrickson of Lengby; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Agnes Mickalson of Becida, Barbara Tolman of Solway, Donna Hegg of Bemidji and Joyce Liend of Bemidji; brothers, Tony (Alice) Fredrickson of Clearbrook and Dennis (Dianna) Fredrickson of Solway; dear friend, Josie Rockstead of Bemidji, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Bernice Fredrickson; brother, Ralph Fredrickson and sister, Pearl Elliston.
