The event will feature a slide show featuring photography taken in Kenya by professional photographer Trish Barthorpe, and a narration of the trip and two projects started by Bemidji resident Jenn Anderson, who was recently featured in the March/April edition of Northwoods Woman Magazine.

Of the two projects, one focuses on using art to empower women; the other focuses on connecting American sponsors with orphans in Kenya.

The event is free. However, participants are encouraged to give a donation to cover the cost of the authentic Kenyan lunch that will be served.

Seating is limited and must be reserved by noon Friday, March 18, by calling 209-6986 or by sending an e-mail to organize@midco.net.
