Pioneer staff report
PARK RAPIDS – A hearing was held Friday on the civil case involving Helga Township and a township resident.
Helga Township on July 2 sought a temporary restraining order against resident Doug Crosby to prohibit him and Bemidji-based Reierson Construction from excavating rocks from Crosby’s property.
Crosby maintains he was removing rock from his land in preparation for grazing fields. Helga Township officials maintains that Crosby must first obtain a permit to excavate the land.
A temporary restraining order was granted July 6 against Crosby and Reierson Construction.
A motion hearing was held on the temporary restraining order Friday morning in Park Rapids before Hubbard County District Judge Robert D. Tiffany.
He took the matter under advisement, according to the Minnesota state courts website.
Another motion hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 5.
