Health issues await 2013 legislative session; lawmaker says ‘there is a big pent-up demand’

ST. PAUL – A mix of health-related legislation awaits Minnesota legislators, ranging from rewriting state sex offender treatment laws to finding ways to mesh state programs with Obamacare.

“We have a lot to do,” said Sen. Tony Lourey, DFL-Kerrick, the new Senate Health and Human Services Finance Division chairman.
