Harper has been the Chippewa Forest supervisor since 2006.

"My family and I have so enjoyed northern Minnesota," Harper said. "The Bemidji schools have been wonderful and we have made many close friends here. It's been my privilege to serve the employees of the Chippewa National Forest and work in such a beautiful place."

Don Rees and Nick Schmal will serve as acting supervisors until Harper's position is permanently filled.
