Hanson announces run for Beltrami County Attorney
BEMIDJI -- David Hanson, an attorney from Solway, announced Friday that he has filed to run for Beltrami County Attorney.
Longtime County Attorney Tim Faver announced last week he would not seek re-election this fall.
Hanson is a longtime Beltrami County resident and is Bemidji High School and BSU graduate. He received his law degree from the University of St. Thomas in the Twin Cities.
He has been a prosecutor and a defense attorney and is a former assistant county attorney for Clearwater County. In a press release, Hanson said "he is looking forward to the opportunity to serve the citizens of Beltrami County."
Annie Claesson-Huseby, chief assistant county attorney in Beltrami County, also has filed to run for the county attorney post. The filing date for county offices ends June 3.
