The Hampton Inn & Suites of Bemidji was recently honored with an award from Hilton Worldwide based on guest loyalty and quality assurance scores.

The hotel was ranked 76th out of the 570 awarded hotels and is ranked No. 2 in Minnesota. More than 1,700 Hampton brand hotels exist worldwide.

The Bemidji hotel is owned by Rich Siegert of Edgewater Management. Managers include Kayla Walters, general manager; Andrew Lundell, front office manager; Angela Kondos, housekeeping manager; and Chad Harding, sales manager.

BEMIDJI - Bank Forward and Insure Forward have announced new hires.

Scott Fogelson has been hired as an insurance sales agent at Insure Forward. Fogelson has three years of sales and marketing experience and holds a business marketing degree from Emporia State University.

Nathaniel (Nate) Haskell has been hired as a commercial loan officer at Bank Forward. Nate holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bemidji State University. He has experience as a customer service manager and financial adviser.

Hannah Puttbrese has been hired as loan technician I at Bank Forward. Hannah has an associate's degree and is a recent graduate from Bemidji State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance. She has experience in accounting and customer service.

Kaitlin Sheppard has been hired as a personal banker at Bank Forward. Kaitlin graduated from Bemidji State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She has experience in customer service and management.

Bank Forward operates under one charter with 13 bank, nine insurance agency and two tax offices with locations in North Dakota and Minnesota. The bank offers personal and commercial financial services, insurance and tax services.

EAST GRAND FORKS - East Grand Forks-based civil engineering and land surveying firm FS Engineering has merged with Widseth Smith Nolting. The deal closed on May 25.

The addition of FS's 10 staffers brings the total number of WSN employees company-wide to 180. FS's East Grand Forks office is now Widseth Smith Nolting's eighth location.

WSN serves public and private clients throughout the upper Midwest. The firm also has offices in Bemidji, Crookston, Alexandria, Baxter/Brainerd, Red Wing and Rochester.
