The money was raised through the Bemidji High School Talent Show, which the club organized in March. Food items were also collected and donated to the Bemidji Community Food Shelf.

The GSA is a student-run club at Bemidji High School that aims to end homophobia and transphobia in the high school as well as to serve the community in various ways.
