Federal Dam man missing after capsized canoe found on Leech Lake

Grimm, Yost lead BHS to victory

FERGUS FALLS - Sylvia Grimm drove in the eventual winning runs with a two-run single in the sixth inning and Jess Yost allowed only six hits while striking out seven to power the Bemidji softball team to a 4-2 victory at Fergus Falls Thursday.

The Lumberjacks were missing four players because of injury or illness but the girls who were available came through when called upon.

"The kids did enough to find a way to win," said BHS coach Brad Takkunen. "We didn't have many options with the lineup but we did enough good things to win."
