GOLF: Bemidji takes third at Menahga
MENAHGA — The Bemidji High School girls golf team took advantage of one of the first truly warm days of the spring Tuesday afternoon, taking third place at the Menahga Invitational.
The Lumberjacks shot a 372, just beating out Staples-Motley’s 373 at Menahga’s Blueberry Pines Golf Course.
“We did alright today,” BHS head coach Jeff Nelson said. “Our putting was a little off; we had a lot of three-putts. But I think we can do better at that.”
Morgan Miller led the Lumberjacks with a 44-44-88 while Katlin Craft shot a 48-43-91.
Staples’ Emily Israelson was the meet’s medalist, shooting a 74.
