Glenworth "Jake" Jacobson

Glenworth “Jake” Jacobson, 94, of Bemidji, MN, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Havenwood Care Center, Bemidji.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2013 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Goodman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the spring in Trinity Free Lutheran Cemetery, Pony Lake, MN.

Glenworth Jalmer Jacobson was born October 31, 1918 in Liberty Township, Beltrami County, MN to Amund and Bastine (Gulbranson) Jacobson. He grew up in Liberty Township and attended Deer Lake School. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII training in Australia and serving in New Guinea. On November 2, 1946 he married Emily Juve in Bemidji. They lived on the home place where he was born and raised. Glen farmed and worked construction and raised chickens and sold eggs from 1950 to 1982. He enjoyed fixing clocks, visiting neighbors and friends and watching nature movies on TV.

He is survived by his wife, Emily Jacobson of Bemidji; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Alvin;
