Glenn G. Olson, 77, of Princeton, Minn., formerly of Bemidji, died on Saturday Jan. 17, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, due to heart troubles.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home Chapel in Princeton. A visitation for friends and family will be held after 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Knoll Cemetery in Princeton.
He was born on Aug. 4, 1931, to the late Edward and Harriet (Turner) Olson in Bemidji. He married Lois Moravic on Dec. 31, 1949, in Bemidji. He was involved in the logging industry for a few years, worked in a foundry and finally started his own metal fabrication business, Jet-son Iron Works. He was a very active member of the Lions Club and Moose Lodge. He was President of the local Lions Club. He enjoyed being a hobby farmer, playing golf and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; children, Wayne (Chris, Tara); Jim (January 17, 2003); (Shawn and Beth, Missy); Debbie; Jeff (Jeffrey and Jake); Tim (Timmy and Darren); Nancy and Ken (Elizabeth and Bradley); and two great grandchildren. Brother Daral (deceased) and Ila Olson of Bemidji.
