"Crookston didn't give us much competition but it was a good game for us because we were able to work on some special techniques and plays," said BHS coach Kelly Schoonover. "We were able to work on some things we will need to do when the playoffs start."

Stina Haave opened the scoring seven minutes into the game when she converted a feed from Booth.

Spry collected her first goal 10 minutes later courtesy of Booth's assist and only 30 seconds later Caitlin Blotske notched an unassisted tally. Spry scored again at the 27-minute mark and three minutes later Booth found the net.

Booth capped the first-half scoring at the 34-minute mark off Haave's assist.

In the second half goalie Casey Palmer switched to offense and she scored 23 minutes into the period. Booth, who assisted on Palmer's tally, completed her hat trick 24 minutes into the session and four minutes later Spry notched her third off Jillian Ricci's assist.

Sierra Anderson capped the scoring at the 77-minute mark.

Palmer and Cassidy Morris teamed for the shutout. Morris played the second half and made two saves.

Bemidji will face a sterner test Thursday when it hosts Detroit Lakes at 5 p.m. Earlier this fall the Jacks posted a 4-2 win at Detroit Lakes.
