Girls hockey: North Wright County blanks Bemidji 3-0
MONTICELLO -- Bemidji couldn't find the net Friday night in Monticello and the result was a 3-0 loss to North Wright County in girls hockey action.
Today the Lumberjacks will hope for better results when they play at Chaska.
"The momentum went back and forth all game but it was tough for us to keep it because we had five penalties," said BHS coach Jackie Robertson. "We need to work on playing more disciplined hockey and not having the penalties."
NWC (7-8-1) made the Lumberjacks (4-8-2) pay on two of the penalties as the home team connected in the first and second periods while on the power play.
It cemented the win with a goal in the third period.
"All in all we played well but it's tough coming back when you give up two power play goals," Robertson said.
