MENAHGA -- Morgan Williams fired a 40-39-79 to lead the Bemidji girls golf team at Tuesday's meet held at the par 36-36-72 layout at Blueberry Pines.
The Lumberjacks shot 353 as a team and placed third in the five-team event. Pequot Lakes won with 336 and Staples-Motley was second at 353. Trailing the Jacks were Moorhead at 374 and Grand Rapids with 433.
Emily Israelson of Staples-Motley was the medalist as she shot 74.
"It didn't rain on us but it was cold and there was a freezing wind," Williams said. "We had to play the back-9 twice because the front-9 was too wet."
