Girls Basketball Update

The Blackduck girls basketball team took on a tough team from Clearbrook/Gonvick Jan. 5, losing 69-55.

The Lady Drakes were down by 10 points at one point in the first half but rallied back to bring the score to within three at the half, 37-34.

"We played with great effort," said Blackduck head coach Tom Liapis. "I am very proud of how hard the team worked no matter what was happening."

Scoring for the Drakes were Mollie Exner with 27 points, two steals and three assists followed by Siera Savich with 10 points, three steals and three assists and Jamie Magoon with 7 points and had two assists.

Also scoring for Blackduck was Taylor Sparby with 4 points, Tatum Mistic with 3 points and adding 2 points each were Alex Ziegler and Sam Mistic.
