Girl injured in Nevis accident

A 15-year-old girl suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash reported at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Nevis.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol out of Brainerd:

A 1998 Chevrolet Celebrity driven by James L. Hallaway, 17, of Nevis, was northbound on Hubbard County Road 82 when it went across state Highway 34. A 2007 Ford Focus driven by Laura L. Burgess, 43, of Laporte, was westbound on Highway 34 when the two vehicles collided.

Neither driover was injured. Burgess' daughter, 15-year-old Ellen E. Schuster, was a passenger in her vehicle. Schuster suffered minor injuries and was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Park Rapids.

All three were wearing their seat belts.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.
