BEMIDJI – A 16-year-old Bemidji girl was treated for minor injuries after the snowmobile on which she was a passenger collided with a truck early Tuesday.

The accident occurred just after 12 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection Roosevelt Road Southeast and Adelia Drive. The girl was transported to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center, according to the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, and the 16-year-old male driver was not injured.

The male was driving in a ditch just south of Roosevelt Road when he entered the intersection, and hit a truck driven by a 62-year-old Bemidji man.

The driver of the truck crossed over the center line in an attempt to avoid the snowmobile, but was unsuccessful. The truck was damaged on its front, passenger side.

No citations were issued in the collision, according to police.
