Garrison woman sentenced to prison for 2010 slaying
A Garrison woman was sentenced to 40 years in prison for striking and killing her husband with a vehicle in Sept. 2010.
Helene Teresa Mitchell-Abraham, 62, was found guilty in Cass County Court on two counts of second degree murder and interference with a dead body.
The jury heard over two days of testimony and decided that Mitchell-Abraham was guilty.
On Sept. 23, 2010, Mitchell-Abraham intentionally stuck her husband Wendall Wayne Abraham, 64, with her motor vehicle. She will carry a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison and a $3,000 fine for interference with a dead body charges.
