Friday's Bemidji High School athletic schedule postponed because of weather
BEMIDJI – Friday morning’s ice and the prediction of more to come prompted Bemidji High School officials to cancel school. That decision also resulted in the cancellation of Friday’s BHS athletic schedule.
The athletic weather victims include the annual Lumberjacks swimming invitational, the home basketball game against Duluth Denfeld, the home girls hockey game against Warroad and the gymnastics meet at Alexandria.
The boys basketball game has tentatively been re-scheduled for Jan. 26. The time will be determined later but it probably will be played in the afternoon.
Saturday’s schedule also is in jeopardy but as of Friday morning none of the events had been cancelled. That situation could change, however.
Saturday’s action includes the Rick Lee Wrestling Invitational at the Bemidji gym, the gymnastics meet in Moorhead, the boys hockey game at Roseau and the ski meet at Giants Ridge.
