Free storm cleanup kits, work gloves available through Red Cross
BEMIDJI - Free storm cleanup kits and works gloves are available to last week's storm damage victims.
The Northland Chapter of the American Red Cross at Bemidji will be distributing the kits until depleted during regular chapter business hours.
The chapter, 1900 Division St. W., Unit 1, is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The kit includes a variety of cleaning supplies including brooms, pails and cleaning products.
"We know that everyone has been working really hard to recover from last Monday's unexpected storm," said Judy Hanne Gonzalez, Red Cross executive director. "Our hearts go out to those who have had damage to their homes."
The chapter also is accept-ing donations for victims. Donations can be sent to the North Star Chapter, 1900 Division St. W. Unit 1, Bemid-ji, MN 56601.
