Free Entrepreneur Training set
Entrepreneur Training will be held in five classes at the Leech Lake Tribal Development offices in Cass Lake.
The classes will be held Tuesdays from 5-7 p.m., starting Dec. 7. The final class will be Jan. 4.
Participants will begin by identifying personal objectives, skills and experiences and financial resources. In classes two and three, they will define potential customers, product and cost of product, where it will be sold and where they will connect with customers. They will develop marketing strategies, define their competition and define distribution projects.
In classes four and five, participants will describe management requirements and operation strategies, develop sales forecasts, identify start-up expenses, estimate 12-month operating budgets and estimate three-year income statements and cash flow.
The class is a requirement for those applying for a business loan through the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Revolving Loan Fund. Applicants may qualify for a loan of as much as $5,000 based on the viability of business proposal, or up to $50,000 based on a business plan.
Classes will be offered again in February.
