Fredrick L. Jackson, 87, of White Earth, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the Mahnomen Health Care Center in Mahnomen.
Fredrick Louis Jackson was born to Lillian Jackson on Nov. 23, 1921 in White Earth, where he was raised and educated. He served with the U.S. Army, 1942-49. Following his discharge from the service, he moved to Minneapolis. Fredrick later returned to white Earth, where he made his home for the rest of his life.
Fredrick is survived by his children, Kevin Jackson and Fredrick Jackson W. Jackson, both of Rush City, Minn., Loretta Jackson and Barbara Sue Jackson, both of Ponsford; seven grandchildren; sister, Ethel Rose Jackson of White Earth; and two brothers, Joseph Jackson of White Earth and Ed Jackson of Detroit Lakes.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Lillian, and a grandson, Matthew Jackson.
Visitation begins Friday, January 16 at 4 p.m., continuing until the start of funeral services at the White Earth Community Center.
Funeral services are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, in St. Columba Episcopal Church, White Earth, with the Rev. Lisa Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
