Fosston man hurt in two-vehicle crash

CLEARBROOK - A 22-year-old Fosston man was injured near here after a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol said Trandem Kappedal was driving east on Clearwater County Road 6 when he failed to yield to a southbound vehicle. The crash was reported at 3:20 p.m.

Kappedal sustained non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, 62-year-old Larry Monkman of Salol, was treated and released.

Monkman was driving a 2010 International Prostar on Minnesota Highway 92. Kappedal was traveling in a 2004 Chevy Silverado.

Both drivers went to Sanford in Bagley for their injuries.
