Former BSU administrator tapped for Mankato job
MANKATO - A former Bemidji State University administrator has been named to an executive position at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Linda Baer, who served as vice president of academic affairs from 1990-93 and interim president from 1993-94 at BSU, was named interim vice president for academic and student affairs July 3 at MSUM.
Baer, who starts in her new position July 17, replaces Scott Olson, who was recently named president of Winona State University.
As interim vice president of academic and student affairs, Baer will be responsible for the academic colleges, student affairs areas, institutional diversity and student support services at MSUM.
Baer holds a doctorate in sociology from South Dakota State University. She currently works as the senior program consult with i4Solutions to inspire leaders to improve student success and transform institutions for the future.
