Flu hotline now available

Minnesotans who think they have the flu can now call a new phone line to talk to an actual person about their symptoms and learn about treatment options.

The Minnesota Department of Health announced Wednesday that the line, which ALL Minnesotans can call toll-free, will be staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by trained nurses.

Our local Community Health Preparedness group encourages the citizens of our area to call this hot line and utilize those services. Our clinics and care facilities are busy caring for patients. Answering phones takes away from staff time caring for these patients. This MN State hot line will take some load off our local providers.

The Flu HOTLINE number is 1-866-259-4655.
